Vodka Sauce

 

  • 10 chopped Plum Tomatoes
  • 40 cloves of Garlic, smashed and chopped
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oregano
  • 1/2 cup Vodka
  • 1 quart Heavy Cream
  • 2 cups Marinara
  • Handful Basil, ripped up
  • Grated Cheese
  1. Coat the bottom of a pot with Olive Oil and heat on high until oil shimmers.
  2. Add Salt, Pepper and Oregano to the Tomatoes and mix well.
  3. Add Garlic to the pot. When Garlic has browned, add Tomatoes, and boil for 15 mins.
  4. Add Vodka and stir well. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
  5. Add Heavy Cream, stir well. Continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
  6. Add Marinara, stir well, lower heat to medium. Add basil, and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  7. If serving immediately, add a handful of Grated Cheese. If not, allow to cool and refrigerate, but add the Grated Cheese when you warm it back up.
