Matzo Crack

  • One cup of Butter
  • One cup of Brown Sugar (packed)
  • 2 tbsp. Sugar
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 6 or so pieces of Matzo
  • 1 bag of Chocolate Chips

 

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Melt butter and sugar in a pan on medium heat.  Let boil for 5 mins.
  3. Line two baking sheets with foil.
  4. Arrange matzo on the baking sheets, using smaller pieces to fill in all spaces
  5. Spoon butter and sugar onto the matzo, covering everything completely
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes until nice and bubbly.  Be sure not to burn them!
  7. Take out of the oven, and sprinkle chocolate chips onto the matzos.
  8. Once the chocolate starts to melt, spread with a spoon.
  9. Sprinkle with toasted coconut, almonds, walnuts, kosher salt – whatever you like.
  10. Refrigerate for ten minutes.
  11. Crack them up into small pieces.
  12. Store in a zip lock bag in the refrigerator.
